SEATTLE, Washington – The 2018 Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (SVIEF) has successfully closed its 2018 SVIEF conference on September 30th 2018 at Santa Clara Convention Center. Attracting over 10,000 attendees, SVIEF2018 conference was designed to be intense and informative two-day event with the theme of ” Converge & Exchange” featuring Global Blockchain Summit, AI & Venture Investment Summit, SVIEF Star Startup Competition, China U.S. Youth Leaders Summit, SVIEF Tech Night and the SVIEF Expo. The conference features luminaries including Judy Chu, congresswoman for California, and Lisa Gillmor, major of City of Santa Clara. In addition, 50+ industry elites including Kaifu Lee, Chairman of Sinovation Ventures, and Andrew Gu, Founder of Danhua Capital, spoke at the conference. Meanwhile 150 hottest startups with technologies from block chain, AI, ecommerce, IoT, crypto currency, automation to green technology, med-tech and health displayed their latest technology and product at the SVIEF Expo and competed for a spot as a 2018SVIEF-STAR.
Seattle Gummy Company (SGC) CEO, Dr. Connie Wan, presented the latest technology from SGC. Gummy Zero® products formulated with the proprietary Trulinose™ technology have attracted intense interests from investors and judges. Explaining Gummy Zero based drug pipeline, Dr. Connie Wan used Mocca Shots®, the highest caffeine loading product on the market, to showcase the flexibility and capability of SGC’s API-complexing technology. Noting that the caffeine in Mocca Shots™ works 5x faster because ingredients are absorbed through mouth mucosa, by-passing the normal digestive process, Dr. Connie Wan explains, “as a result, next to an IV, Mocca Shots are the fastest way to deliver caffeine directly into the blood stream.” Applying the same technology, SGC has finished formulating several OTC drug products. The company is expecting the approval of its first allergy gummy by the FDA next year.
After several rounds of judging and voting, SGC was awarded the second place as one of the most innovative companies in the competition. “We are very excited to be a SVIEF-STAR,” said Dr. Connie Wan, “beating out all those blockchain and AI companies means that nothing can overshadow an amazing technology like Gummy Zero, which, I believe, will have a fundamental impact on how people take and think of medicine.”
