Silver Spring, Md. – March 20, 2018 — Robotic VISION Technologies Inc. (RVT) announced today that it is bundling its award-winning eVisionFactory (eVF) software platform with ADLINK’S NEON-1020 smart camera. The smart Vision Factory (sVF) bundle will bring an easy-to-use, complete solution to any industrial or collaborative application at a competitive price point.
“While eVisionFactory works with any standard GigE camera, the combination of eVF with the ADLINK NEON camera reduces part count and overall cost. This combination allows our customers to build individual vision guidance solutions in a simpler and more cost-effective way,” said RVT VP of Engineering Paul Weidinger. “Many of our customers look to us to deliver not only the industry’s most powerful vision-guided software, but an integrated solution as well.”
Typical RVT industrial applications include material handling, machine tending, palletizing, assembly, precise pick and place, racking and de-racking, moving-line part tracking and handling, part ID, and random bin picking processes.
RVT offers vision guided robotic (VGR) solutions for all three areas of guided robot vision in 2D, 2.5D and 3D, which gives customers unlimited options for using this solution throughout their manufacturing operations. eVF’s advanced technology can use low cost, integrated hardware solutions like the ADLINK NEON without sacrificing quality or accuracy. It will automatically calibrate the hardware and software components before training itself to recognize features in any part, which eliminates expensive setup costs and allows for fast deployment into a customer facility.
“We are excited to see partners like Robotic VISION Technologies leverage the value of a integrated solution like the NEON smart camera that combines a PC, a frame grabber, an I/O extension board, and a camera into a single, compact, ruggedized housing,” said Jacky Lin, senior sales director at ADLINK. “The combination of the eVF software and NEON smart camera provides users with a complete vision guidance solution that enables complex tasks to be fully automated on the factory floor.”
